Our Model
Farmers / Miners
Working directly with smallholder farmers (SHF) and artisanal & small-scale miners (ASM) from resilient, yet underserved communities often impacted by conflict and organize them into formalized groups.
Artisan Women
Starting either with women-led SMEs or women referred by one of our SGBV support partners, we focus on onboarding and analyzing individuals based first on natural talent, second on trainable skills. From there, women are organized into working groups, such as a cooperative.
Training & Certification
Training begins at the farms, mines, and our production facilities. This ranges from business training such as inventory management and accounting, to technical trainings focusing on product development and manufacture, to occupational health and safety (OHS). This also dives deeper into training for formal certifications such as HACCP, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, or Organic.
Industrial Tools & Facilities
Investing in industrial-scale production facilities, buildings and equipment, that enable our team to break the barrier from “farmers market to supermarket”. Leveraging these resources we create economies of scale, driving down production costs and enhancing competitiveness in the market. Truly ethical products don’t have to be more expensive products.
Long Term Business Support
Training beneficiaries continues indefinitely as new best practices, industry standards, and export market regulations change. All administration is centralized, and women-led, covering accounting, auditing, procurement, and distribution. Marketing and sales are unified under a singular brand, enabling cohesive messaging to build women-made brand loyalty.
The Conscious Consumer
Who does the majority of shopping in the world, especially chocolate and jewellery? WOMEN DO! Shouldn’t they be not just represented but leading the process from farm to table? This is the Chambers Federation’s investment and development focus, women-made to women-consumed.
